The Pediatric Hospitalist Program at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital provides primary care providers with convenient, around-the clock access for consultations and admissions.

That's why we offer a direct consultation and admission phone number, 1-888-KIDS-UMN (1-888-543-7866). This toll-free number is available to expedite access to University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital for consultations and admissions.

Our experienced team of physicians and staff is sensitive to the concerns you and your patients' families have about the care their child receives at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital, and are committed to providing you with convenient access to specialty care and timely communication about your patient's care.

Our Pediatric Hospitalist Program provides:

  • Convenient , around-the-clock access to University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital pediatric specialty services; 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • A single referral and consultation access phone number, 1-888-KIDS-UMN, staffed by nurses and pediatric specialists
  • Timely, ongoing communication with you after your patient's admission and initial patient evaluation, during your patient's stay and upon discharge
